Watchmaker Credentials

Trained Where Swiss Watches Are Made

Our master watchmaker is a certified watchmaker who spent nearly ten years as a full-time technician at a Swatch Group service center — the Swiss conglomerate behind Omega, Longines, Tissot, Hamilton, Rado, and Blancpain. That decade of hands-on work means deep expertise on the very movements most Swiss watches carry, from everyday ETA calibers to co-axial escapements, tourbillon complications, and high-end in-house calibers. When your Omega or Longines arrives at our bench in Springfield, it's handled by someone with factory-level certification and real-world experience. Combine that with our standing as the sole U.S. authorized Seagull repair center and our direct supplier relationships with Peacock and Hangzhou watch movements, and there are very few watches — Swiss, Japanese, German, or independent — we haven't seen from the inside.

Our Story

Sangamon TimeVault is the online repair arm of Sangamon Watch Company, an independent watchmaking shop based in Springfield, Illinois. We operate as the sole U.S. authorized Seagull service center — the only shop in the country with direct factory channels to Tianjin for genuine Seagull parts and movements.

Every watch that passes through TimeVault is handled by our certified in-house horologist — diagnosed, serviced, and returned by the same expert hands. We don't subcontract, and we don't batch through a dispatch system. Whether a Patek Philippe comes in or a modern Seagull, the work happens on the same bench, by the same watchmaker.

We service Swiss, Japanese, and Chinese mechanical watches — from collector-grade pieces (Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, Rolex, Omega) to modern mechanical service, quartz movement service, battery replacement, and Seagull factory-authorized work. We don't service smart watches, replica watches, or antique/pocket watches.

Business & Trade

Trade & Partner Services

Programs for dealers, traders, jewelers, and microbrand operators.

Trade Accounts

Pre-owned watch dealers and jewelers regularly need professional service before resale. Our Trade Account program offers structured B2B service for high-volume partners:

  • Net-10 billing
  • Dedicated point of contact
  • Priority queue with guaranteed turnaround windows
  • Certificate of service documentation for resale records
  • Per-piece pricing at our standard rates — no hidden fees, no surprise charges

Minimum commitment: 5 watches per quarter. Contact us to set up an account.

Multi-Watch Service

Already part of our standard intake — submit up to 5 watches in a single application. Each watch is diagnosed, estimated, and tracked independently. Bench fee is $35 per watch.

For collectors managing larger collections (10+ watches in a single batch), contact us directly to arrange a coordinated submission.

Rare Parts Sourcing

Need a part for a discontinued piece that nobody seems to have? We can help. Our supplier network includes Seagull factory channels, direct Peacock and Hangzhou movement suppliers, Swiss parts specialists, and the broader U.S. watchmaker community.

Contact us with your part request and reference numbers. We'll respond with availability and pricing within 5 business days.

Microbrand Partner Services

We provide post-sale warranty repair fulfillment for U.S.-based mechanical watch microbrands. If your customers need warranty service and you don't have an in-house repair capability, we can be your service partner.

Sangamon Watch Co. is itself an independent microbrand, so we understand the operational reality of running a small watch label without a service network. Contact us to discuss terms.
